Features

Tactical combat boots don't all have the exact same features, but each design will often employ several of the following benefits, if not all of them. One thing that is standard on every pair of military boots, regardless of manufacturer or style is the non slip sole. Whether you are out in the desert, traipsing through the jungle or patrolling the streets, your combat boots are bound to have non slip bases to help maintain traction no matter what type of conditions you are under.

There are also a wide variety of steel toe military boots on the market that are commonly used in both military facilities and non military labor jobs that require protective footwear. You can also find waterproof combat boots that will keep your feet dry during even the harshest of weather.

Styles

While you may think that all military boots are the exact same, you would be sorely mistaken. There are a wide variety of styles with different benefits for different types of work. Some tactical combat boots are actually made of thin breathable material for warm and dry climates for example, while others are more heavy duty and durable.

Another big style difference comes from the color and material that is used in the manufacturing process. GI style boots are generally made of high grade black leather and are the type of boot that you would think of when you hear military talk about having to polish their footwear. Other boots may be made of suede, nylon, mesh or any combination of those materials.

Uses

Aside from their obvious combat related uses, tactical boots can also be found on construction sites, on the average Joe and even in the wardrobe of those who work in the police force or as EMTs and medics. Since combat boots are usually durable and heavy duty, feature skid resistant rubber soles and water resistant exteriors, they have easily found their way into the public service department. Some manufacturers even have special styles of boots that zip and Velcro so that officers and medics can quickly gear up when needed.

Even though we still consider these styles of footwear to be aimed at the military, the truth is that they are actually used in many different vocations and even worn as part of people's every day wardrobes. If you need a durable boot that can stand up to the elements without requiring a lot of upkeep then you may need to look at military boots.

Military boots / Army Boots are rapidly finding themselves in non-military use. As most are water-resistant with non-slip soles, they are excellent for more industrial labor. They are made in a variety of styles, but most are very durable and weather-resistant.
